For World Book Day we have done lots of exciting activities! This morning we did a scavenger hunt, looking at lots of different books to find particular words, pictures or events. We researched a children's author with a partner and then presented our information to the rest of the class! This afternoon we also did some reading with the children in Year 2.
We have been making Chinese vegetable spring rolls!
First we prepared our vegetables. We grated some carrot and chopped spring onions and red peppers. Then we mixed them together with beans, beansprouts and sweet chilli sauce!
Then we got some strips of filo pastry. We had to be very careful and gentle so that it didn't rip!
We spread some vegetable oil over the pastry to help them stick together, then we added some of our mixture. Then we rolled them up to make our spring rolls.
We have been making our own division games! Today we had a go at playing each other's games. Well done everyone!
